We made the trip out to the Netherlands for Bimmerfest 2025 and, despite the classic on-and-off rain, it turned out to be one of our favourite editions of the show so far. The atmosphere was spot on chilled but competitive, with a trophy setup for the top three builds keeping things interesting.
Check out the video:
With around 2,000 BMWs packed into the venue, the mix of builds was next level. Big names like Akrapovič, Alpha N, Eventuri, Z-Performance, Edelweiss, and Wheelforce showed up in force, and it was great to see the EU BMW scene still going strong – Europe is where BMWs come from after all
We went over with our friends at PSR Parts who kindly hosted our M3 Touring on their stand big thanks to them. The goal was to reconnect with the European crowd after last years road trip across the continent. A lot of people recognised the Touring and stopped by to check out the latest updates and chat through the build.
Our 5 favourite modified BMWs:
As you can imagine, its hard to narrow down 2,000 cars to just 5. But these ones were definitely worth a mention. Wed love to know what you think.
1 & 2 Eric Washingtons G80 M3 & G87 M2
First up, we have a two-for-one deal and these two were serious show-stoppers. The G80 is running a full ADRO body kit, Arma Speed intake and just about every CarbonBay engine bay upgrade we stock. His G87 M2, wrapped in Inozetek Celestial Unicorn, features the full Alpha N treatment wing, fenders, bonnet, splitter, Eventuri intake, and even more painted details under the bonnet. Both cars are airbrushed with some Sci-Fi themes – something most M owners would be afraid to do.
3 Coens F87 M2 from AST/MOTON
Built for both form and function, this Mineral Grey M2 was sitting on MOTON 3-way suspension with 18 Titan 7 TM20s, an MHC+ GT style front splitter, and hemp carbon fibre panels throughout. This is just a beautifully tasteful OG M2 build that anyone would love to have in the garage.
4 F81 M3 CS Touring
BMW never made an M3 Touring in the F80 generation, but this guy did and hes been bringing it to Bimmerfest for a couple of years now. Still one of the coolest builds at the show, finished in Fashion Grey.
A Quick Touring Refresh Before the Trip
If you cast your mind back to 2023, this was the car that made the news for some illicit activities in New York. It then became a full-on show car with air ride, a big single turbo, carbon-barrelled Vossen wheels and more. Its been all over the world, covering about 25,000 miles and just as many on boats…
The goal with the G81 now is to make it a better all-rounder and simply more relatable to you guys. Before heading out, we gave the M3 Touring a few updates:
- Concerted the car from single turbo to PURE Stage 2+ hybrid twin turbos
- Swapped back to OEM suspension setup with lowering springs
*NEW* Pipercross AirMax Matte Intake System
Pipercross has just released a matte version of its popular AirMax intake for the G80, G81, G82, G83 & G87 S58 platform. Weve secured a couple of the first pieces so feel free to drop us a message if youd like to reserve one for your car.
Check out the intake: https://r44performance.com/products/…-g82-m4-g87-m2
Other upgrades:
- Downstar aluminium hardware
- CarbonBay gloss carbon fibre headlight covers
- EBC Bluestuff rear pads to match the RPX fronts
Well be posting a full update on our G81 M3 Touring in the near future, so be sure to look out for that when it lands.
As always, if youre after some modifications for your BMW, drop us a message and well look after you. Weve been heavily investing in stock this year to reduce lead times and improve your experience. If you have an address, we can ship to you – anywhere in the world.
If you attended the show, don’t be selfish… Throw some photos in the thread so we can all enjoy them together.
