Chevrolet Silverado V8 pick-up adds extra value for EOFY

Chevrolet Silverado V8 pick-up adds extra value for EOFY

Posted on June 6, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Chevrolet Silverado V8 pick-up adds extra value for EOFY

Three years’ worth of free servicing will be included with each new Chevrolet Silverado pick-up purchased before the end of the financial year.

General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) will throw in three years of free servicing for all Chevrolet Silverado 1500s sold before June 30.

The end-of-financial-year (EOFY) offer will cover three years or 36,000km of ownership, and applies to both the LTZ Premium and ZR2 variants.

GMSV does not readily disclose the cost of maintenance, rather requiring customers to contact their nearest service centre for pricing, so it is unclear exactly how much customers will save with this offer.

List pricing for the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado kicks off at $130,500 before on-road costs for the LTZ Premium, while the ZR2 received a price rise of $3500 earlier this year to $141,500.

Both cars are imported as left-hand-drive vehicles, before being re-manufactured locally in right-hand drive by GMSV in Dandenong, Melbourne.

Shared by the two variants is a 6.2-litre petrol V8 engine, outputting 313kW/624Nm to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission – the only remaining full-sized, 1500-class ute in its class with eight cylinders.

The pair differ in their braked towing capacities – 4500kg for the LTZ Premium and 4200kg for the ZR2.

While the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 does not match rivals such as the Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra and Ram 1500 in towing, it features 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tyres, front and rear electronic locking differentials, lifted suspension, and increased underbody protection to boost its off-road capability.

The LTZ Premium features 20-inch silver alloy wheels (also with all-terrains), while both grades share a black leather interior, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, colour head-up display, and digital rear-view mirror.
