Posted on June 6, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Hyundai Reveals All New Nexo Specs Ahead Imminent Launch in Korea

Hyundai Motor Company has officially announced the launch of “The All New Nexo”, its next-generation hydrogen-powered SUV, set to debut this June in South Korea. This full model change comes seven years after the original Hyundai Nexo was first introduced in 2018.

Revealed at EV Trend Korea 2025, Hyundai’s latest hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is poised to redefine eco-friendly mobility with impressive improvements in performance, efficiency, and range.

Key Features of The All New Nexo

  • 720 km driving range on a full charge—completed in just 5 minutes.
  • 150 kW electric motor and a 190 kW total system output—a 40% performance increase.
  • 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, delivering faster, smoother acceleration.
  • 120 kW hydrogen fuel cell stack, marking a 16% increase from the previous model.
  • Upgraded lithium-ion battery, now delivering 80 kW—double the prior output.

Production and Domestic Launch

Hyundai has finalized domestic certification for “The All New Nexo”, with environmental subsidies expected to be confirmed this month by the Korean Ministry of Environment. All units will be produced at Hyundai’s Ulsan Plant, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to green manufacturing.

Global Rollout Plans

Hyundai plans to introduce the model sequentially across global markets, beginning with Japan, followed by the United States and Europe later this year. This strategic expansion underlines Hyundai’s commitment to hydrogen mobility and its growing role in the global EV and FCEV landscape.

The company aims to sell 6,000 units in 2025, with expectations to exceed 11,000 units in 2026, driven by strong domestic demand and international interest.

The Future of Hydrogen Mobility

“The All New Nexo” represents a significant step forward for Hyundai’s hydrogen strategy. As governments worldwide tighten emissions standards and invest in hydrogen infrastructure, models like the Nexo offer a practical and sustainable alternative to battery EVs.

Conclusion

With its enhanced powertrain, ultra-fast refueling, and long-range capabilities, The All New Nexo is set to become a benchmark in the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle segment. Hyundai’s ambitious rollout and production strategy reinforce its leadership in clean mobility—and the future looks bright for hydrogen-powered transportation.
