Introduction
The Acura TLX is a premium sports sedan from Honda’s luxury division. Designed and developed to bring an enjoyable driving experience at a competitive price, the TLX combines many qualities from Acura’s earlier TL and TSX sedans while increasing power and improving the dynamics. As the second model year of the second generation, 2022 brought no major changes to the TLX.

KBB Review Highlights
This compact luxury sedan class is dominated by the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series. Yet the 2022 Acura TLX stands its ground with strong engines, plenty of standard equipment for the price, build quality, and a comprehensive array of standard safety features. Sizewise, the TLX falls between compact and midsize, with a relatively wide body. This doesn’t make it noticeably roomier than the competition, however. Some rivals have more rear legroom and bigger trunks.

The previous-generation TLX left buyers hungry for power, a more engaging drive, and greater efficiency. The 2022 TLX meets those demands. For the enthusiast, the TLX Type S packs a 355-horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. Drivers prioritizing efficiency will be happy with the 272-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine propelling the other TLX variants. Acura also engineered the 2022 TLX to provide responsive handling. Unsurprisingly, the TLX has become one of the company’s best-selling cars. A popular configuration is the A-Spec with all-wheel drive.
