After months of anticipation, Dodge has finally brought the four-door version of its all-electric Charger into reality. As the second phase in Dodge’s EV muscle car revival, the new Charger sedan is set to go on sale in the coming weeks, and it’s bringing serious firepower to the table with up to 670 horsepower. But before we dive into the new sedan, let’s address the coupe-sized elephant in the room.

When Dodge introduced the all-electric Charger coupe last year, the reaction was… mixed. Sure, the 670-horsepower Daytona Scat Pack variant impressed on paper, and its retro-inspired design turned heads. But as a whole, the EV coupe didn’t quite land with the same thunderous impact that past Chargers and Challengers did. It felt like a bold concept that hadn’t fully matured. The discontinuation of the cheaper R/T model soon after launch due to “market uncertainty” didn’t exactly inspire confidence either.

Now enters the four-door Charger sedan, and there’s a quiet optimism that this version might actually be the more refined and better-rounded machine. Built on the same STLA Large platform, the sedan mirrors the coupe’s top-spec Daytona Scat Pack trim with the same dual-motor setup producing 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Dodge says it can rocket from zero to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, matching the outgoing supercharged Hellcat Redeye—a benchmark that was once considered peak insanity in the muscle car world.

Just like the coupe, the sedan draws power from a 100.5-kWh battery and operates on a 400-volt architecture. Range comes in at a respectable 241 miles, and DC fast charging can juice it from 20 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes thanks to its 183-kW peak charging capability. A combined Level 1/Level 2 charging cable is included as standard.

The sedan doesn’t lack flair, either. Dodge has packed it with all the dynamic features you’d expect from a car wearing the Charger badge. There are multiple drive modes including Track, Drag, Drift, and even a Donut mode for controlled chaos. PowerShot mode delivers an extra 40-horsepower jolt for ten seconds when needed, and the quirky Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system returns to simulate a traditional V8 growl. It’s still a love-it-or-hate-it gimmick, but at least Dodge is trying to make EVs feel emotional.

New for 2026 on both the coupe and sedan is the Track Pack, which may be one of the most important options for serious drivers. It includes the largest brake package ever fitted to a Dodge, featuring massive 16-inch Brembo vented rotors with six-piston calipers up front and four-pistons in the rear. The package also includes sticky Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires mounted on unique 20-inch wheels.

Inside, the cabin is every bit as modern as the outside is muscular. A 16-inch digital gauge cluster sits in front of the driver, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen in the center handles infotainment duties via the latest Uconnect 5 system. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa are standard, along with Dodge’s Performance Pages to track lap times, G-forces, and other enthusiast-friendly metrics.

While pricing hasn’t been confirmed for the sedan, it’s safe to assume it will sit just above the coupe. For reference, the 2025 Charger Daytona R/T coupe starts at $61,590 and the Scat Pack coupe climbs to $70,190. The sedan’s extra doors and slight practicality edge will likely tack on a few grand.

In the end, the new Dodge Charger sedan looks poised to be more than just a stretched version of the EV coupe. If anything, it could become the more compelling package, especially for those wanting Hellcat-like performance with real-world usability. The four-door layout, added features, and potentially smoother rollout give us hope that Dodge might finally be aligning its electric ambitions with the expectations of its performance-hungry fan base. Let’s just hope it drives as good as it looks on paper.
