- A set of upgraded brakes and new Fox coilovers have also been added to the car.
ECD Automotive Design is best known for restomodding Land Rovers and Jaguars, but for its latest project, it fettled perhaps with the most iconic American car of all time: the Ford Mustang. The company crafted a very special 1967 Mustang Fastback, giving it a better powertrain, a refreshed exterior, and an overhauled interior.

Perhaps the easiest thing to do when building a Mustang restomod is to ditch the original engine in favor of something like a modern Coyote 5.0-liter V8. ECD hasn’t done that and instead, it turned to Roush to upgrade a 347-inch Small Block Ford V8, good for 465 hp.

The overhauled Mustang, which the tuner refers to as the ’67 Ghost, sits on an RS Spec chassis from Roadster Shop and has been refinished in a special shade of High Gloss Mineral White. It also sports Santorini Black Metallic racing stripes while sitting on special 17-inch wheels.
With way more power than it originally left the factory, the Mustang also benefits from beefed-up suspension and braking components. These include adjustable RS SV Fox coilovers and new drilled and slotted rotors with 4-piston brake calipers.
Plenty of work has also been done on the interior. Key upgrades include the fitment of heated Recaro seats trimmed in black leather with tan diamond inserts. There is also a brushed aluminum dashboard, new gauges, a bespoke steering wheel, and a modern infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.
Though ECD hasn’t shared a price tag for this 1967 Mustang restomod, the company has already begun working on additional builds, including models inspired by Shelby and Boss designs.
