It seems like every time we get to a Thursday, another dealer has been allocated more Z06s. Remember when these track-oriented Corvettes were almost impossible to order? Now they are the most produced Corvette model in the line-up ever since GM reconfigured the assembly line at the end of March to accommodate additional widebodies. I doubt any Corvette watchers ever saw that stat coming!
We reached out today to dealers large and small, and the majority that we spoke with received additional Z06s today. For some of the top dealers, we’re talking double digit allocations while smaller dealerships were “kicked” just one. It’s now been over three months since we last heard of a dealer getting any Stingray allocations. As for the E-Ray, our friends at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com are saying they heard that one dealer had also received a number of E-Rays allocated during this round.
Dealers have also told us that no carbon fiber ground effects or aero packages are available, and buyers cannot select either Rapid Blue or Sea Wolf Gray for these new orders as they are officially retired. The full list of constraints will come next week.

We’ve been watching Roger Kiel’s C8 Corvette Production Tracker, and it shows that Z06 production has been outpacing the Stingray by quite a bit. Over the last full three weeks of production (April 14-May 20), we have seen 403 Stingrays produced to 646 Z06s. Only during that first week back from the two-week closure (week of March 31st) did the Stingray outproduce the Z06.
Oh, and if you saw my comment yesterday on the missing E-Rays from Roger Kiel’s reports, it looks like he found them as 290 were reported as “produced” on Tuesday, May 6th. They were actually being produced over those missing weeks in April but were only reported on Tuesday as having been completed. There are now 2,210 E-Rays completed for 2025.
Between the zero allocations of Stingrays for the last three months to now the Z06 outproducing the Stingray in production, GM definitely has a plan underway to change the face of Corvette production to the higher priced widebody models.
