What new AMG models are in the pipeline?
Mercedes-AMG CLE 63 S 4Matic. The good news is that this model will get the 4.0-liter bi-turbocharged V8 4-liter mild hybrid 48V and not the AMG C 63 S E Performance 4-cylinder P3 Hybrid engine criticized by press and customers. Coming in 2025.
Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4Matic. The same 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine with mild hybrid 48V will be under the hood of the AMG E 63, probably with a bit more power.
Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door electric coupe based on AMG.EA’s dedicated AMG.EA electric platform featuring axial-flow motors from Yasa. It will be unveiled in 2025 and will compete with the Porsche Taycan.
Mercedes-AMG electric SUV is based on the same AMG.EA platform and will be an AMG-exclusive model. Will debut in 2026 and will compete with Porsche’s upcoming electric SUV (codenamed K1).
Mercedes-AMG CLA EV. Mercedes is preparing an AMG version of the new CLA that will rival the Tesla Model 3 Performance.
Mercedes-AMG GLC EV. Mercedes will unveil the new GLC electric SUV based on the MB.EA platform at the Munchen Mobility Show in September 2025. It will go on sale in 2026 and will also have an AMG version.
Mercedes-AMG C-Class. A facelift of the C-Class limousine is planned for 2026. There are many rumors that Mercedes will drop the P3 hybrid system from the current AMG C 63 S E Performance. However, the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine no longer fits under the hood of the current-generation W206. However, it is possible that an inline six-cylinder engine will be used but nothing is official yet.
Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV and Coupe. It’s the same situation with the C-Class limousine, with a facelift planned for 2026. If anything changes to the AMG C-Class the same solution will be used on the GLC and GLC Coupe.
