The second-generation Ford GT, debuted in 2016, is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine with twin turbochargers and intercoolers, it produces 647 HP and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The GT rockets from 0-60 MPH in about 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of around 216 MPH. While it draws inspiration from the original GT40 and the 2005 GT, this version incorporates modern tech, making it surprisingly practical for daily driving.
To elevate exclusivity, Ford released 50 limited-edition models in the Daytona 1966 Heritage Edition configuration. These special editions honor the iconic #98 GT40 Mk II driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby, which won the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona.
This special GT pays tribute to the iconic GT40 Mk II with a Frozen White exterior featuring bold asymmetrical Race Red accents on the front fascia, roof, rear wing, and doors. Prominent #98 roundels and alloy wheels complete the distinctive, heritage-inspired look of this exclusive edition.
