At just 15 years old, captured hearts when she was crowned Miss Achrafieh in Lebanon. It was a moment that ignited something deep within her—a passion for beauty, confidence, and the power of presence. But life, as it often does, introduced its own twists. Marriage, pregnancy, and a battle with illness challenged Eva in ways she never imagined. Yet, even in pain, she chose perseverance. She refused to let setbacks define her story. While enduring hardship, she enrolled in university and threw herself into workshops, determined to keep learning and growing. Eva initially pursued medicine, but her journey led her through studies in law and business computing. Despite shifting academic paths, she never wavered in her desire to help others and express herself. She ultimately found her calling in skincare and beauty—fields that spoke to both her intellect and her creativity. Her first TV appearance came on the Arab Women Channel, where she shared skin care secrets and beauty tips, sparking a media presence that would grow exponentially over time. In 2006, Eva took to the stage once more, participating in the Mrs. Lebanon pageant. Around the same time, she trained with renowned media figure Antoine Kassabian, honed her craft as a presenter at Bright I—a content creation company focused on TV and new media—and continued expanding her knowledge through workshops with industry experts like Lama Lawand and Christiane Hajjar. In 2015, she graduated from An-Nahar Academy with a diploma in Radio/TV under the mentorship of Sabine Oueiss. The following year, she added another achievement to her growing list, graduating with a degree in diction and news from MFC, guided by respected trainers Dr. May Chidiac and Bassam Barrak. But Eva wasn’t just building a media career—she was cultivating purpose. She entered the world of social work and was appointed President of Beirut Victory Club under the Lions International Association. Her leadership and dedication soon earned her the role of Zone Chairperson, a position that recognized her exceptional ability to inspire and serve others.

Blending beauty with social impact became a central theme in her life. In 2014, she was named “Lady of the Year” in Lebanon by the MC International Award—a recognition that marked the beginning of her mission to uplift women. By 2016, Eva was serving as the Director of Media and Technical Relations at Helou Al Fan, helping shape the narrative of beauty and celebrity in the Arab world. That same year, she was honored by the Lebanese American University during their Women’s Day Ceremony as one of the Top 10 most influential women in Lebanon. Eva’s influence continued to grow. In 2017, she became a jury member of the Beirut Golden Awards, celebrating creative excellence in fashion and beauty. The next year, she launched what would become one of her most defining ventures: Elle Maraa. This online magazine, a digital haven for women, was built to celebrate “every She and Elle massively.” Covering beauty, fashion, health, travel, fitness, and lifestyle, Elle Maraa quickly became a platform for women to be informed, inspired, and empowered.

By 2019, her impact reached a global level. Eva was appointed “Ambassador of Art and Creativity” and later “Ambassador of Peace” in 2022 by the World Organization for Peace and Diplomatic Development, honoring her continuous work in service of humanity and peace. In 2021, she joined Al Joumhouria TV as a presenter for a lifestyle and beauty segment across several social media platforms. That same year, she was recognized by the First International Festival Film Online for her outstanding contribution and participation.

In 2022, Eva was certified by CIO Times as one of the “Most High-Impact Women Leaders Making a Difference.” Her star continued to rise, and in 2023, she debuted her own show on @halaarabiatv, where she hosted international doctors and plastic surgeons to explore cutting-edge beauty technologies. That same year, she was crowned Miss Influencer Lebanon 2023, a testament to her commanding presence in the digital and fashion world. With years of experience in the beauty and fashion consulting industry and formal training in skincare, Eva now uses her platform to empower women through television segments and live conversations. Her discussions span a range of topics with guests that include artists, dermatologists, and cosmetic surgeons—providing expert advice while connecting authentically with her audience.

Eva Makdessi’s name continued to earn recognition in 2025 when she was chosen as one of the “100 Entrepreneurial Leaders of Influence” by Entrepreneurial Arabia magazine and featured in UAEstories magazine, celebrating her leadership and vision. Throughout her career, she has also taken center stage at luxurious galas, red carpet events, and charity fundraisers across the Arab world. With over 20 award presentations to her name, Eva has stood beside some of the region’s most notable influencers and changemakers, bringing glamour, grace, and purpose to each occasion.

Eva Makdessi’s story is not one of luck, but of grit, resilience, and relentless ambition. From beauty queen to media personality, from skincare specialist to social activist, she has become a symbol of what it means to turn pain into purpose and passion into power. Her legacy is one that continues to evolve, but at its heart is a woman who dared to dream, defied every obstacle, and chose to rise—again and again.
