It’s the kind of news every parent hopes never to hear: Your child has cancer.

Unfortunately, though, 300,000 families worldwide do have to hear that terrible news every year. In the U.S. alone, more than 40 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it’s still the No. 1 cause of death by disease for kids. Even those who do survive may have long-term effects from their treatment, like loss of hearing and sight, heart disease, secondary cancers, cognitive disabilities, infertility, and more.

But over the past 19 years, legendary race car driver Jeff Gordon has been offering hope for these families through his Children’s Foundation that has raised more than $18 million thanks to the generosity of nearly 85,000 supporters through their Corvette for a Cure Program alone.

The Red Mist convertible features Carbon Flash Nacelles, along with Jet Black Interior with Adrenaline Red Custom Leather Stitching, 20-Spoke Gloss Black Forged Aluminum Wheels, Edge Red-Painted Brake Calipers, Carbon Flash Power Retractable Hardtop with Carbon Flash Nacelles, Corvette Racing Jake Logo Accents, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Front Lift Adjustable Height, Performance Exhaust, Performance Axle Ratio, Z51 Performance Suspension, Performance Brakes and Tires: 19″ Front and 20″ Rear Wheels, Z51 Rear Spoiler, Heavy Duty Cooling System, Electronic Limited Slip Differential, Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium, and Performance Data Recorder.

“Your donations fund innovations that improve quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship, and medical research dedicated to finding a cure for kids fighting cancer in your community and communities all over the world,” a spokesman for the Children’s Foundation says. “We can’t do it without you.”
