SUPER VENOM Mustang: Unleashing 850 bhp Power

SUPER VENOM Mustang: Unleashing 850 bhp Power

Posted on April 7, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on SUPER VENOM Mustang: Unleashing 850 bhp Power

Hennessey Performance has officially unveiled its latest high-powered creation – the SUPER VENOM Mustang. Not only is it designed to celebrate the company’s founding in 1991, but this limited-edition muscle car also boasts aggressive styling, aerodynamic upgrades, and a massive 850 bhp. As a result, it stands out as one of the most powerful Mustangs ever built.

A Mustang with Supercar Performance

Hennessey has taken Ford’s already formidable Dark Horse Mustang and, as a result, transformed it into a true high-performance machine. Meanwhile, the factory 5.0-litre V8 gets a serious power boost, jumping from 500 bhp to 850 bhp – an impressive increase of 70%. Torque also rises by 55%, hitting 650 lb-ft at 4,900 rpm. These upgrades catapult the SUPER VENOM Mustang from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. This shaves half a second off the standard Dark Horse’s time.

The enhancements don’t stop at raw power. In fact, a high-performance supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors, an improved air induction system, and Hennessey’s bespoke engine management calibration all work together to deliver this dramatic upgrade.

Aerodynamic Excellence with ‘VenomAero’

Beyond the engine bay, the SUPER VENOM Mustang also benefits from the all-new ‘VenomAero’ package. Moreover, this carbon fibre kit is specifically designed to improve handling, cooling, and stability at high speeds. Notably, it includes:

  • An aggressive front splitter
  • Functional hood vent
  • Side skirts
  • Front fender louvers
  • A rear deck lid with an integrated duckbill spoiler
  • A large fixed rear track wing

These aerodynamic upgrades ensure that the car stays planted, whether on the road or track. The improvements provide better downforce and improved cooling for the engine.

Exclusive Design and Limited Production

To honour Hennessey’s founding year, only 91 units of the SUPER VENOM Mustang will be built. Each car comes with the ‘91 Icon’ livery, available in black, silver, or red. This is alongside the owner’s chosen factory paint colour. The exterior also features 20-inch lightweight performance wheels, Hennessey badging, and the company’s signature script on the boot lid.

Inside, the cabin receives a bespoke makeover, with premium leather and Alcantara seats in either blue or black. The seatbacks feature the Hennessey signature logo, while a tailor-made dash plaque showcases each car’s unique serial number.

Track-Ready Performance for Road and Circuit

Hennessey’s engineering team has worked hard to ensure that the SUPER VENOM Mustang performs just as well on the track as it does on the road. Meanwhile, Brian Jones, Hennessey’s VP of Engineering, explains: “The VenomAero track pack not only delivers enhanced grip but also improves cooling. Furthermore, it includes a suite of aerodynamic enhancements that ultimately elevate the Mustang to a whole new level of performance.”

Ford’s stock Dark Horse Mustang covers the quarter-mile in 12 seconds at 118.4 mph. Hennessey’s version slashes that time to just 10.9 seconds, crossing the line at 133 mph.

Pricing and Availability

The Hennessey SUPER VENOM Mustang is available in two trims:

  • SUPER VENOM Dark Horse – $163,950 (£127.475)
  • SUPER VENOM GT – $149,950 (£116.578)

Both versions include the stock vehicle and come with a full Ford factory warranty. Additionally, there is a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty from Hennessey. Customers can order their car through authorised Ford dealers or directly from Hennessey Performance.

The Ultimate Hennessey Mustang?

Hennessey has a long history of pushing American muscle cars to their limits. The SUPER VENOM Mustang is no exception. With its extreme power, aggressive styling, and limited production run, it’s a collector’s item as much as a performance powerhouse.
