Posted on March 28, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Beijing Hyundai Teases New EV SUV That Could be IONIQ 4

On March 26, Beijing Hyundai officially released teaser image of a mysterious pure electric SUV that could be IONIQ 4. This move signals the brand’s commitment to expanding its SUV lineup, which currently includes the Hyundai ix35, Tucson, and Santa Fe. With the imminent launch of this new model, Beijing Hyundai aims to further strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

Striking Design with Modern Elements

From the official spy photos, the new electric SUV embraces a fresh design language. It features a closed front grille, a narrow light group for enhanced recognition, and a futuristic star-ring through light strip. At the rear, a through-type taillight design complements the front styling, creating a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic.

Internally Known as OE – Potential IONIQ Family Member

Internally known as OE, this new electric SUV could be a part of Hyundai’s IONIQ family. Notably, all IONIQ models have had “E” as the second letter in their codename, making it a strong candidate to be the IONIQ 4. This speculation aligns with Hyundai’s strategy of expanding its IONIQ lineup with innovative electric models.

Additionally, the company has set an overseas sales target of 80,000 to 100,000 units in 2025.

Hyundai’s Market Performance

Hyundai’s global success continues to be evident, with total sales exceeding 100 million units. In China alone, the brand has achieved a cumulative sales volume of 12 million units, reflecting its strong market presence.

As Beijing Hyundai gears up for the debut of its new electric SUV on March 28, industry experts and consumers alike are eager to see how this model will contribute to the evolving EV landscape. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development.
