  • Underneath its classic exterior, the Chevelle sits on an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis.
  • Power comes from a 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V8 producing a cool 725 horsepower.
  • The bodywork is finished in PPG Cortez Silver, looking absolutely pristine and flawless.

If you’re in the market for a car that blends classic muscle with modern performance, look no further than this one-of-a-kind 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle. The builders invested around $350,000 to create this stunning restomod. We’ll leave it up to you to decide its true worth, but it’s hard to deny that this car commands attention.

Mecum Auctions will be showcasing this eye-catching restomod at its Glendale sales event this weekend. What started as a standard Chevelle has been completely transformed by Goodfellows Classic Cars in Phoenix, Arizona. While no pre-auction estimate has been shared, there’s a good chance it will sell for an eye-popping sum.

Underpinning the Chevelle is an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis, while the reworked body is finished in PPG Cortez Silver. However, unlike some restomods that have over-the-top exteriors, sometimes clad in lightweight carbon fiber, this Chevy does a good job of hiding its true identity.

Powering the classic GM model is a 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V8 that’s been tuned to deliver 725 horsepower. This behemoth of an engine is coupled to an automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. It also rocks a Strange 9-inch limited-slip differential at the rear, Wildwood brakes at all four corners, a new rack-and-pinion steering, and heavy-duty springs. A 3-inch stainless steel exhaust ensures the V8 purrs like it should.

Plenty of time, effort, and money has also been spent on the car’s cabin. New black leather seats with blue contrast stitching complement the car’s interior, while a new three-spoke steering wheel and Dakota Digital gauge clusters provide modern touches. Plus, the Vintage Air climate control system ensures that you’ll stay cool, no matter how hot that engine gets. Much like the exterior, the interior is refreshingly understated, allowing the LSA V8 to be the star of the show.

If you’ve got deep enough pockets to snag this beast, check out Mecum Auctions over here to place your bid.
