IHRA and Owner Darryl Cuttell Announce Groundbreaking Acquisition of Seven Premier Drag Racing Tracks
IHRA has been making big waves, with big news, since the PRI Show in December last year when Darryl Cutter and Larry Jeffers made a deal for Darryl to take ownership of the IHRA. There were some drama filled days afterwards as big announcements of Pro Drag Racing returning to IHRA, new leadership, and big plans went public. Unfortunately there was also some negative drama going on as Kenny Nowling was let go and left the organization, and many feared this would hinder all the positive things going on. Thankfully, Darryl Cuttell doesn’t know the word quit and he pushed forward to put together a whole new management team and big big event plans for 2025 that not only included big Pro Am events, but also bigger purses and new venues.
And while there were folks that thought Darryl might buy a race track or two, I don’t think anyone was ready for this announcement here. And make no mistake, there are a variety of tracks on this list. Some will need some love to come back to their former glory, but are in great markets, and others are considered premier racing facilities already!
