Kia Corporation has strengthened its electric vehicle lineup with the unveiling of the Kia EV4 & EV4 Hatchback at the brand’s 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. These models aim to enhance the appeal of electric mobility with their innovative designs, cutting-edge technology, and versatile capabilities.

Kia EV4: A New Typology of Electrified Sedans and Hatchbacks

The Kia EV4 represents a fresh approach to C-segment vehicles by offering both sedan (four-door) and hatchback (five-door) body styles. With a sleek yet practical design, the EV4 is positioned as an athletic all-rounder designed for both urban navigation and long-distance travel.

Performance and Battery Options

  • Battery choices: 58.3 kWh (standard) and 81.4 kWh (long-range)
  • Class-leading range: Up to 630 km (long-range model) based on WLTP standards
  • Aerodynamic efficiency: Ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.23 Cd
  • Powertrain: 150 kW motor, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds
  • Fast-charging capability: 10-80% charge in 31 minutes via 400V platform
  • Additional Features: Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capabilities

Built on Kia’s 400V Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV4 combines advanced aerodynamics with powerful performance. Its efficiency is maximized through aerodynamic enhancements, such as full underbody covers, resulting in optimal airflow management.

The EV4 sedan will be produced in Korea, while the hatchback version will be manufactured in Slovakia. Sales will commence in Korea in March 2025, followed by a European launch in the second half of the year, with the U.S. market to follow.
