RICHARDSON, Texas — Advanced Distributor Products (ADP), a manufacturer of evaporator coils, air handlers, and unit heaters, has launched a new product for manufactured homes, the mFurnace, or manufactured home electric furnace.
The mFurnace is an electric furnace designed for the needs of manufactured homes, a press release from ADP said.
About 21.2 million people in the U.S., making up about 7% of households, live in manufactured homes. The majority of manufactured homes are put together in factories before being delivered to their intended locations.
The mFurnace has a two-piece design that allows for seamless integration with various coil cabinets and sizes, ADP said. The range of coil cabinet sizes allows distributor partners and contractors to find a perfect fit for many kinds of manufactured homes, and with the ability to configure downflow and upflow, the mFurnace offers a blend of efficiency, flexibility, and ease of installation, the company said.
All ADP mFurnaces are a match for the ADP M Series coils. The mFurnace is available in either a 120V model or a 208/240V model with an electronically commutated motor (ECM).
“We are always looking to make our distributor partners successful in new markets or applications they may not be playing in. The manufactured housing space provides that opportunity,” said Augusto Zimmermann, director of engineering and product management at ADP. “We are excited to introduce the mFurnace, building upon the success of our M Series coil and ADP’s reputation in providing flexible, quality solutions while being easy to do business with.”
Other features of the MFurnace, according to the press release, include:
• Coil cabinets up to 40 inches tall, available with front or top return, and with a louvered or a solid door.
• Coil cabinets shipped as “knock down” for ease of storage.
• A blower panel with a handle and a push-to-lock feature for easy access.
• A blower door safety switch on all models.
