Donald J. Trump will soon be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, and a Ferrari F430 he once owned is now heading to auction. While details about the seller remain sparse, the timing of this sale seems far from coincidental. It’s hard to ignore the possibility that they’re banking on Trump’s political resurgence to send the car’s value skyrocketing. If past sales are any indication, they might just be onto something.
Last year, Trump’s old Diablo VT Roadster traded hands for $1.1 million at an auction, or about double what your average Diablo VT from that era would fetch. The F430 may not be quite as iconic as the Diablo, but it remains one of Ferrari’s finest naturally-aspirated V8 supercars, and Trump’s former car has been driven just 9,395 miles (15,119 km) since new.

The Italian supercar sports a timeless Rosso Corsa paint job, safeguarded by a layer of paint protection film. It’s been kept indoors since new and comes with its original Ferrari-branded accessories, including a car cover, seat covers, and a matching carry bag. Adding to its provenance, the Ferrari has been showcased at several car events held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. It’s now being sold with its original title, issued in Trump’s name back in July 2007.
Rockstar Car Auction is handling the sale of the car (see the listing here), but to be honest, a car like this can sell itself. Park it on a Florida street with a sign that says “Trump owned it,” and chances are someone passing by would offer top dollar on the spot.
The exterior is complemented by an equally striking cabin finished in a combination of black and tan leather. There are also several gloss carbon fiber parts and a special plaque on the dash that reads ‘DJT-NYC.’
For context, a quick scan of Autotrader shows there are just under 100 Ferrari F430s currently listed for sale in the US. Models with fewer than 10,000 miles typically command between $130,000 and $160,000. But with the Trump factor in play, there’s a good chance this F430 will blow past those numbers without breaking a sweat.
