I have a question that is probably specific to the 2017, as it has the regular sunroof and it was built in Sweden where is every model after is built in China. I’m not saying whether or not that’s good or bad. I’m just saying that the construction methods were different. 2018 for example has an extra 6 inches just in the back to accommodate the panoramic roof, and also that was the biggest complaint about the 2017 so they just slapped exactly 6 inches in the back. I thought that was really funny actually.

I recently had to bring in the vehicle for what FIXD said was a fuel mixture or possibly an O2 sensor issue but I had bought a warranty so it didn’t matter. It was just gonna be annoying to take in, and I was concerned about them doing a software update as well because when I first got the vehicle, there was no way to disable the automatic offer economy mode, but when I brought it in after another issue it removed that entirely so that I could go into the main menu to the left and manually turn it off and keep it off. I didn’t want to get that thing going again so I was reluctant to bring it in.

So in two separate occasions, the first one I thought was my fault. I open all four windows with a crack and crack the sunroof when I leave the gym, and then when I get back like I’ve done for five years now I pull up the four windows and then pull down and the little tab and everything’s fine. I never even had to think about it, until recently.

I choose separate occasions, and thank God I have a covered carport, the sunroof has randomly cracked open again. The first time I threw it was me, but then the second time after having been a little bit more intentional with ensuring that everything was closed yesterday morning it was open again. There could be some kind of weird issue like maybe I didn’t even know that I was doing this maybe if you close the screen protector or the interior non-opaque manual center I don’t even know what that maybe I closed it before it was actually closed on the sunroof? But even still it’s not like it’s incapable of cracking the sunscreen open while you can still keep the interior closed, and it even has vents to help facilitate having the sunroof cracked open in the interior sunshade closed. I could be basing this off of my recollection of how I’ve done things before and maybe there is something about closing the sunroof interior portion before the sunroof has finished closing, but it just seems to sort of coincide with whatever update they did after I brought in the vehicle at Volvo. And I was really surprised to see that there are sometimes error codes like in a jaguar where software functions can be incorrectly input in the computer to have undesirable effects like locking your door on the outside, but even if that was the case I don’t know why it’s taking up to a minute for it to crack back open again cause I look every single time to make sure that everything is closed. It’s really weird And I need to make sure that this is not gonna be an issue especially with hell freezing over next week.
