November 6, 2010 – The sequel car purchased with a few things carried over from the previous car (spoiler, floor mats, and other little interior/exterior details)
January 3, 2011 – Windows tinted
I hate driving around in a fish bowl.
January 6, 2011 – Rvinyl Dash kit, painted air vents, and silver rings on the control knobs
January 15, 2011 – “S” painted red with “40” removed and vinyl bars added to the taillights
January 20, 2011 – Pilot Exhaust tips installed
These are the exhaust tips http://spoilers4less.com/plt-pm-552.html BUT I bought these from Walmart for $12 a piece. You won’t notice any difference with the resonator, and that’s not why I bought them, I purchased these because they fit perfectly over the factory Volvo exhaust tips and it actually looks like I have dual exhaust now. When mounting them, I slid them back as far as they would go; they’re the exact same length!!!

So here is where there are some changes. As you can see, I have the V O L V O spaced out like on the 2010 models. I simply took off the old letters with dental floss and stuck them back on with 3M VHB tape. I believe there’s 3″ from the center of each letter to the next.
You’ll also notice that the letters are all blacked out, I thought it looked good against the gray color of my car.
That is an OEM spoiler, but it didn’t come on the car.
I have the brushed aluminium trim, but I got some vinyl so I could do smaller thing. You can see that I did the plastic piece around the door handle and lock.
Lots of changes on the inside. I have brushed aluminium around the lights nob, on the steering wheel buttons, on the shift nob, around the steering wheel below the gauges, and between the screen and the CD slot. It may seem like a lot but I like it.
I also painted my air vents (the right way). Yes, there is a Transformers logo on the center vent.
This is a 2004.5, so I added the silver around the radio nobs like the newer models have.
There are brushed aluminium pedals (not the Volvo ones…. but not the stupid ones you get at Walmart either). These actually fit quite well.
Picture of the dash from the other side.
The ipod dock is made from a Belkin FM transmitter and a salt container. I covered it with material and it doesn’t look half bad (it fits nicely in the cup holder and it’s also a nice way to hide spare change)
Just for laughs, I have a NOS energy drink cap over the 12 volt socket. the caps actually fit perfectly over the socket plugs already.
