The Regera was created as a luxury hypercar alternative to Koenigsegg’s traditional lineup of lightweight, race-inspired, road-legal vehicles. It pairs a powerful 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors and a groundbreaking powertrain system called Koenigsegg Direct Drive, which integrates advanced battery technology.
Although Koenigsegg’s cars have always included surprising levels of practicality and comfort, their primary goal has been to produce the fastest vehicles on the planet. The 1,500-horsepower Regera continues this legacy, combining breathtaking speed with unparalleled comfort and the unique Direct Drive experience.
Only about 85 Regeras were built including this particular example offered for sale on RM Sotheby’s. Chassis no. 7218 was delivered new to the UK through SuperVettura, an official Koenigsegg dealer, in May 2022 as part of a shipment of five Regeras for UK customers.
Finished in Arctic White, this Regera features dual carbon fiber stripes running along its hood, roof, and tail, as well as a single stripe down each side. It is equipped with optional Tresex AirCore Carbon wheels and white brake calipers for a striking appearance.
Displayed at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed by SuperVettura, the car was sold to its current owner in Hong Kong later that year. It was subsequently shipped to Hong Kong, where it remains unregistered, with less than 20 miles on the odometer.
