2025 Buick Envision vs. 2025 Chevrolet Blazer Comparison

2025 Buick Envision vs. 2025 Chevrolet Blazer Comparison

Posted on December 8, 2024 By rehan.rafique No Comments on 2025 Buick Envision vs. 2025 Chevrolet Blazer Comparison

General Motors offers a variety of vehicles across nearly every segment. So, if you’re in the market for an SUV, the company has several offerings for you to consider, starting with the 2025 Buick Envision and the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer.

These 5-passenger SUVs start at roughly the same price point. The Envision is a little more premium, and the Blazer is a little bigger. Let’s check out these two models to see what makes each a potential purchase.

Sitting right on the luxury segment line, the Buick Envision received an exterior facelift for 2024, with the front end seeing most updates, and those updates carry forward for 2025. Like the Blazer, the Envision features room for five passengers very comfortably. It’s built to be a comfortable ride with great technology, which aligns it with the rest of the Buick lineup.

Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, the Buick Envision’s engine puts out 228 horsepower, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is standard. It comes with plenty of niceties, such as wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a hands-free tailgate. A slew of advanced driver safety technology is available in the upper trims. Available in three trim levels — Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir — pricing starts at $37,895, including the destination fee.

Buick Envision Highlights

A little help: The Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist assesses possible parking spaces — parallel or perpendicular — and then maneuvers the Envision into them. The feature is part of the available Super Cruise Package.

Elegant interior: The first thing you’ll notice in the new Envision’s interior is a digital instrument cluster mounted flush with an expansive infotainment touchscreen. It stretches 30 inches diagonally and wouldn’t look out of place in a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Genesis product. Upper trims have niceties like perforated leather upholstery, a head-up instrument display, massaging front seats, and a digital rearview camera.

Some luxury: Available as an option in the Buick Envision Avenir, massaging front seats knead their occupants into full-on luxury vehicle territory. These seats, covered in perforated leather, also have heating and ventilation.

2025 Chevrolet Blazer

The 2025 Chevy Blazer enjoys an athletic and muscular exterior borrowed heavily from the Camaro muscle car. Despite not having a significant exterior update in several years, it’s still a head-turner. This year, the Blazer adds a new Habanero Orange paint color.

The Blazer is also powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, putting out 228 hp like the Buick Envision. However, if you want its performance to equal its looks, you can move up to a 308-hp 3.6-liter 6-cylinder for an additional $500. If you want AWD, that too will be extra — $2,700.

The Blazer features a spacious cabin loaded with convenience and safety technology. The ride is good and surprisingly quiet, courtesy of active noise cancellation. Handling the infotainment needs is a 10.2-inch touchscreen. Pricing begins at $36,795, including destination charge.

Chevrolet Blazer Highlights

Chevy Safety Assist: This standard technology suite bundles driver-assistance features like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator, forward collision alert, and automatic high beams.

Touchscreen: The Blazer features a 10.2-inch touchscreen standard. It’s easy and logical to use, with barely a learning curve. It also includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity.

Special editions: The Blazer offers two appearance packages; the Midnight Edition adds sleek black trim and black wheels, and the Redline Edition gives the Blazer 2LT and 3LT a sporty look without the added expense of upgrading to the RS trim.

Similarities

The Buick Envision and Chevy Blazer share more than a parent company; they use the same powertrain, a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder producing 228 hp. They also carry five passengers inside a spacious cabin with a full slate of safety electronics.

Conclusion

With a focus on comfort and convenience, the Buick Envision enjoys a spacious cabin and excellent safety and convenience technology. Its exterior lends a look of luxury and style. However, the Chevy Blazer’s exterior borrows heavily from the Camaro muscle car. To that end, it offers a more powerful engine option than the Envision. It doesn’t offer the soft, supple interior space that the Envision does, but it does offer a sportier ride one doesn’t get — or expect — in the Envision. The choice is clear: luxury or sport?
