Scrape Armor announced today that their highly anticipated Z06 and E-Ray side intake guards are now available for pre-order. Due to strong demand across all distribution channels, the first production run is expected to sell out quickly. To ensure priority, pre-ordered sets will be allocated first to individual vehicle owners, with shipments beginning in January.
For the past 18 months, Scrape Armor has worked with GM’s OEM Design Data to develop side intake guards with an OEM-level fit and finish, that integrate seamlessly with the vehicles design cues and construction methods.
The side intake guards are installed in an area where multiple vehicle components converge, with surfaces featuring complex 3D curvature. To ensure seamless cosmetic integration with the vehicle design, precise tolerances, and an excellent installation experience, Scrape Armor developed a comprehensive suite of alignment guides and fixtures.
These tools, included with every kit, are specifically designed to guarantee proper placement and consistent results whether installed by a professional or DIY enthusiast.
Scrape Armor’s lower grille mount and integrated scoop cover are made from the same material as the OEM scoop cover it replaces, ensuring a perfect match in color, sheen, and texture. This redesigned component incorporates an extended structure that securely captures and aligns the lower section of the grille, seamlessly integrating it with the lower trim of the inlet opening for a polished and cohesive look.
Scrape Armor is renowned for its C8 front grille screens, the only GM-approved radiator guards for all variants of the C8 Corvette. These guards are tested and used exclusively used by Spring Mountain Motorsport Park and installed on new vehicle deliveries at the National Corvette Museum, further validating their quality and performance.
The new Z06 and E-Ray side intake guards from Scrape Armor adhere to the same OEM-approved specifications as their popular front grille screens, ensuring a perfect fit and finish and will be available through GM Accessories shortly.
