I have a feeling the below from Volvo might be interesting for the discussion above:

God bless you child lol.
My initial post meant the ENTIRE SYSTEM! How it ALL works together as a SKYHOOK System and is unlike other systems that just control the SHOCKS!! It’s brilliant. Like I said above I’ve studied adjustable suspensions since air ride had become available in cars and have had TONS of cars with adjustable systems but none worked in conjunction dynamically in TOTAL like 4C does.
And as I said previously after my BMW E60 535i with Active Steering and Active Roll Stabilization, and F10 550 iX Exec with Dynamic Handling Pkg and Hydraulic Rollbars nee ARS (Active Roll Stabilization) and 4WS, the ONLY thing that could’ve made the system any better would’ve been if Volvo had used hydraulic roll bars like Bimmer but that would’ve added very excessive weight and would’ve required a pump like BMW’s system which robs the engine of about 20 hp. They made the huge F10 handle almost Miata like but having the system repaired was a nightmare. Also it wasn’t a COMPLETE multiplex system like Volvo’s 4C. It was good but 4C does the entire system.
I will say that the only other car that I personally driven (factory wise) that has a better suspension setup was the Infiniti Q45 a (Active) model. It was the first car in the US to have a truly fully active suspension. It was SO good that Infiniti had to dial in .05 degrees of Roll because owners were wrecking the cars because the active suspension was so GOOD that owners weren’t aware of the cars limits. Then again it was a $5,000 option and they only sold a few from 1991-1995 so it wasn’t discontinued. And even then it wasn’t a multiplex system like 4C is/was.
Even my 96 Lincoln Continental had Fords Semi-Active suspension with air ride and it was just sloppy in ALL modes.
Since Volvo came out with 4C I’d always dreamed about owning a car with it and now I have 3 lol. I’ll own other Volvos but it’s gna take ma quite sometime to move away from ANY model without 4C. I’ve got more files on what all it does, the changes thru the years and onto P3 but they’re all stuck on my laptop.
I just think it’s brilliant and makes the car feel personal. When I ride the P3 S80 with 4C it’s a refined feel. In the R the shocks feel like a sports car but regardless of which car and which mode, I know that 4C is a Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept and the car is looking out for me regardless of what happens.
I ❤ 4C and not just the shocks lol
