As the festive season approaches, Lexus marks a remarkable milestone—the 25th anniversary of its iconic “December to Remember” campaign. Since its debut in 1999, this hallmark of holiday advertising has delighted audiences with heartwarming stories, memorable jingles, and the unforgettable image of big red bows on pristine Lexus vehicles.

This year, Lexus brings the holiday spirit to life once more with two new commercials, “Forecast” and “Letter,” reminding us of the joy of giving and the importance of cherished moments with loved ones.

A Campaign That Defined Holiday Advertising

“December to Remember” has become more than just a marketing initiative for Lexus—it’s a cultural touchstone. 1. “Letter”

This ad captures the magic of a young girl’s holiday wish, brought to life by the dedication of her family and their fleet of Lexus vehicles. In a heartwarming relay, the family bands together to ensure the letter reaches its destination. Despite a mishap, the story takes a touching turn the next morning, revealing a meaningful gift that showcases the true spirit of giving.

With features like the Intelligent Assistant in the Lexus NX and the rugged reliability of the Lexus RX and GX, the family’s adventure highlights the brand’s seamless integration of luxury and practicality.

2. “Forecast”

In this ad, a meteorologist braves a winter storm, expecting to spend Christmas alone. However, his family surprises him by bringing the festivities directly to him—delivering warmth, love, and celebration in their Lexus GX, TX, and LX vehicles. It’s a poignant reminder that the holidays are best spent with those who matter most.

3. “Stranded”

Fans of the campaign will also recognize the return of “Stranded,” a story about a woman and her loyal dog navigating snowy terrain in a Lexus GX to rescue a group of stranded hikers and their furry companions. This re-release celebrates the resilience and adventurous spirit of the Lexus brand while reminding viewers of the bonds we share with our four-legged friends.

Extending the Magic Beyond TV

Lexus is taking the holiday festivities beyond traditional ads by partnering with content creators to bring unique Lexus-themed creations to life:
