Global technology leader OPPO has marked a groundbreaking achievement in artificial intelligence by becoming the first company to bring the Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture to an on-device implementation. This development opens up new frontiers in AI processing efficiency and demonstrates OPPO’s commitment to advancing AI integration with mobile hardware, setting the stage for future breakthroughs in on-device AI.

As AI technology rapidly progresses, the demand for processing tasks directly on devices continues to grow. However, large AI models often require significant computational power, which can be a challenge, particularly for mobile devices with limited hardware resources. In response to this challenge, OPPO has partnered with prominent chipset providers to integrate the MoE architecture directly onto its devices, maximizing processing power while minimizing resource consumption.
