I had many titles and topics in mind for this post. One would have been Sometimes Human Eye/Brain > Camera. Take a look at this picture.
Obviously, it’s blurry. To me, it was crystal clear and almost unbelievable in its beauty. Yes, the glass on our windows is long overdue for a clean (which will happen this week or next), but in low light conditions my eyes and brain seem to see more than my supposedly sophisticated iPhone camera.

As reported here and elsewhere, the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, where Ford’s F-150 Lightning pickup truck is being assembled, will “take a break” from November 15 to January 6. Gee, would a car company do that for a model with robust sales?
As reported here and elsewhere, a massive fire erupted at one of the world’s largest lithium-ion battery processing facilities located in Fredericktown, Missouri. By the way, “battery processing facility” is a euphemism for a battery recycling plant. National Fire Prevention Association Senior Engineer Brian O’Connor is quoted as saying, “In general, these facilities are going to have a higher level of hazard.” Push For EVs = Manifestation Of Stupidity

Whatever you may think of his extracurricular activities, Bill Clinton was an above-average President. He worked with the other side of the aisle in order to move legislation forward. The most meaningful welfare reform bill ever passed became law under his watch and with his assistance.
He made a valiant effort to reach a peace deal in the Middle East. Eventually, he realized that the murderer and terrorist Arafat had been lying to him the entire time. The former President recently gave a speech that would be excoriated by many, if not most, members of his party.
During the speech Clinton said,
“That all sounds nice until you realize what you would do if it was your family and you hadn’t done anything but support a homeland for the Palestinians, and one day they come for you and slaughter the people in your village. You would say, ‘You have to forgive me, but I’m not keeping score that way.’ It isn’t how many we’ve had to kill because Hamas makes sure that they’re shielded by civilians. They’ll force you to kill civilians if you want to defend yourself.”
Here is a revelation from the speech that the defenders of genocidal barbarians ignore, “the [proposed] deal would have given the Palestinians a state on 96 percent of the West Bank and 4% of Israel, and they got to choose where the 4% of Israel was. The Palestinians ‘would have a capital in East Jerusalem,’ and ‘they said no.’” The so-called Palestinians do NOT want a two-state solution; they want a one-state “solution” where they exterminate the Jews and annihilate Israel. FUCK THE PALESTINIANS! Tough shit if you’re offended by that statement.
Oh, I sent myself the link to the article in an email titled, “Not Bill Clinton’s Party, Anymore.” BOTH parties have become more radical; people who think their party is the same as it was 20-25 years ago are utterly clueless.
An aside: the impending end of this blog has given me even more freedom to write whatever I want. I like it.

Highway Trivia: What is the longest highway in the United States? It is not an Interstate, but US Route 20, which runs 3,365 miles through 12 states from Newport, Oregon to Boston, Massachusetts.
The longest Interstate highway is also a northern route: I-90 that runs 3,085 miles from Boston to Seattle. The longest Interstate with an odd-number, meaning it runs North-South instead of East-West, is I-95 that stretches for 1,908 miles from Miami to Houlton, Maine. I have spent the majority of my life living along the I-95 corridor, but never again.

In their “film” Mid-Engines & Mountains, Everyday Driver hosts Todd Deeken and Paul Schmucker drive and debate the merits of three mid-engine cars: the Porsche Cayman, the now discontinued Alfa Romeo 4c (this car was the inspiration for the film, which was shot in 2014) and the also-discontinued Lotus Elise.
After days of driving, both hosts felt the Cayman was the best car for a long-distance highway drive, but neither felt it was the best car for twisty roads. That Schmucker, an avid Porsche enthusiast, reached that conclusion was quite the shock to me. He “fell in love” with the 4C during the shoot and asks himself on camera, “How can I scrape together the money to buy the car. Maybe I’ll trade in my Cayman.”
Whenever I buy the Supra, I am toying with the idea of a road trip, either with my wonderful wife or with any friend who wants to ride along. I don’t think I could do a 7- or 10-day road trip at this point in my life, but 4 days (2 out and 2 back) could work. Given that constraint, the road trip would have to be solely in the Four Corners area. Why? Well, New Mexico and Arizona are the fifth and sixth largest states by area, respectively. Colorado is 8th and Utah is 13th. The four states comprise 14% of all of the land area of the contiguous 48 states. What about California, you say? NFW, I say.
