Cadillac has released photos of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, the first electric Cadillac to get the vaunted V-badge.

Stylistically, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V builds on the standard Lyriq design, with what looks to be the same illuminated grille found in current Sport models. Updated bumpers and rocker panels give the Lyriq-V a sportier appearance, as does the new matte grey color option. A lowered suspension no doubt improves the Lyriq-V’s handling and gives it a more aggressive stance, while Brembo brakes are present to bring it to an efficient stop. The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V also gets a set of unique rims in a dark graphite finish.

Cadillac also gave us a brief glimpse of the Lyriq-V’s interior, revealing a steering wheel with a unique stitched center cap featuring the V logo instead of the standard Cadillac logo as in other models. A “V” button also makes an appearance on the steering wheel, which will likely be used to toggle the Lyriq-V into its most aggressive sport-oriented mode.
Though a performance vehicle, Cadillac has not yet released specific performance numbers for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V. They did say it would have “exceptional performance, competitive range, and standard all-wheel drive.”
The current most powerful Lyriq model makes 515 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque from a dual-motor AWD arrangement. The Lyriq’s platform mate, the Blazer SS, makes up to 595 hp in “wide open watts” mode, so expect the Lyriq to make at least that much in this V version. Standard Lyriqs feature a passive-plus suspension setup, not GM’s lauded Magnetic Ride Control suspension used in other performance models like the Corvette, so it will be interesting to see if this new V model will include it.
The Lyriq is currently Cadillac’s second best-selling vehicle behind the Escalade, and this new V edition should only add to the sales momentum. The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is scheduled to go on sale in early 2025, so we should learn more about it, including its performance numbers, in the near future.
