2025 Audi Q6 & SQ6 Sportback e-tron debut in Paris

2025 Audi Q6 & SQ6 Sportback e-tron debut in Paris

The 2025 Audi Q6 & SQ6 Sportback e-tron have made their debut at the Paris Motor Show, bringing sportier styling to the Audi Q6 e-tron family.

The front half of the 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron is nearly identical to that of the standard Q6 e-tron. This means a sharp, purposeful-looking front end with Audi’s hexagonal grille (though now sealed as this is an EV), sleek daytime running lights with user-configurable lighting signatures, and an aggressive front bumper treatment.

The back half of the 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron is where all the fun happens. Here, a new rear end features a dramatic, tapering roofline that looks a bit like a cross between the GT e-tron sedan and the upcoming A6 e-tron. This new roofline is 1.4 inches lower than the standard Q6 and is part of the reason why the Q6 Sportback has a lower drag coefficient, going from 0.28 to 0.26. Audi says this new silhouette is intended to look like a streamlined drop of water.

Rear taillights get the same OLED treatment as the regular Q6, again with user-configurable light patterns. It certainly is a more dynamic look than the standard Q6 e-tron and is sure to please those looking for the space of an SUV but with sportier styling.

The inside of the 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron is virtually identical to that of its non-Sportback twin. This means buyers will find a screen-heavy cockpit with an 11.9-inch digital driver’s display, a 14.5-inch center infotainment display, and an optional 10.9-inch display mounted on the dash on the passenger side. The brand’s new Android Automotive-based digital experience is present as well, bringing a more intuitive interface and upgraded flexibility.

Extensive use of sustainable fabrics can also be found on the interior, including a material called “draft” made from recycled polyester that covers the roof liner, door pillars, and sun visors. Buyers will be able to upgrade to a 20-speaker Bang & Olufson premium sound system that features four headrest-mounted speakers, as well as an augmented reality head-up display. A new, upgraded voice assistant now has advanced ChatGPT integration, making it more capable and natural to interact with.

The 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron rides on VW Group’s Premium Platform Electric, shared with other vehicles like the Porsche Macan EV. US buyers can expect around 300 miles of range from the 100 kWh battery pack, which has been built on an 800-volt architecture for enhanced charging performance. DC fast charging rates of up to 270 kW can be achieved, replenishing the battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 21 minutes. Initially, all US models will get a dual motor setup with the standard Q6 e-tron arriving with 456 hp, while the more powerful SQ6 e-tron arrives with 509 hp. All Q6 Sportbacks will also be able to tow up to 4,400 pounds.

The 2025 Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron will be available in the US in the spring/summer of 2025. Though Audi did not release pricing information, the non-Sportback Q6 will start at $63,800 when it goes on sale in the US. It would be safe to assume the Q6 Sportback will start higher than that when it lands on US shores.
