Featured on AutoHunter is this 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA two-door hardtop. Like all of them, this performance Fairlane is powered by a 390 Thunderbird Special V8 paired to Sport Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission. Features include power front disc brakes, power steering, a center console, five-spoke mags, and a JVC AM/FM stereo with a CD player and Bluetooth, among others. Painted black over a red vinyl interior, this Blue Oval answer to the Pontiac GTO comes from a private seller with a clear title.

The original Emberglo (code V) hue has been replaced with black and a red rocker stripe on both sides. Features include chrome ornamentation on the hood (as part of the GT package), dual chrome side mirror housings, an antenna on the right front fender, chrome trim on the trunk lid, and dual chrome exhaust pipes.

A set of 14-inch Magnum 500 wheels is wrapped in 235/60 SX 7000 SR white-letter tires.

The cabin features red vinyl bucket front seats and a center console that houses an automatic transmission shift lever that allows for manual control. Other features include a three-spoke Sports steering wheel, a lockable glove box, and an aftermarket JVC AM/FM stereo with a CD player and Bluetooth capability.

The instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, column-mounted 8,000-rpm Bosch tachometer, and fuel gauge. Mounted underneath the dashboard is a trio of aftermarket gauges keeping tabs on the oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage. The odometer shows 5,287 miles, but the true mileage is unknown.

The engine bay features a 335-horsepower 390 (code S) with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. An aluminum radiator with electric fans has been added to assist in keeping things at the proper temperature. A three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic handles shifting chores.

Underneath, an independent suspension can be found up front and a solid axle featuring 3.25 gears in the differential is at the rear. Braking features power assist, with discs up front. A dual exhaust system was standard on the GT.

The auction for this 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA two-door hardtop will end Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:15 a.m. (PDT).
