Enhancing the curb appeal of your business is just as important as it would be if you were updating your home. After all, the exterior part of your premises is what clients and guests will see first. Those first impressions count, especially when it comes to wooing the bigger clients that will hopefully make your business more successful.
When it comes to enhancing the curb appeal of your business, it doesn’t take a lot but it can be done in a big way or through subtle changes. Here are five tips for enhancing curb appeal for your business.

1. Keep it well maintained
At the very least, you should be keeping your business premises well maintained. That means having the right workers in place to keep on top of cleaning the external areas of the building, as well as the grounds it sits on.
Some company premises might not need more than a window cleaner and jet-wash every so often. Others might need a groundsman to help with the external areas of the building which might be fairly substantial. In some cases, commercial landscaping might be needed to help iron out some of the problems across the property itself.
Try to keep it well maintained and by doing so, half of the job of enhancing your curb appeal can be upheld.
2. Update signage
One of the benefits of business signage is that it points you out as a business amongst other buildings. This is particularly important if you’re competing alongside other businesses that all have light-up signs.
Therefore, it’s a good idea to take a look at your signage and see if any of it needs updating. Over time, the weather, along with general wear and tear can do damage to your signs, so it’s always good to check on these and replace or fix them where and when necessary.
3. Freshen up your external walls
As mentioned above, jet washing is often done on surfaces where a lot of dirt and debris has built up. It’s a good idea to get a jet wash on your external walls and floors so that you keep these areas nice and clean.
No one wants to approach a building that’s covered in moss or has dirty sidewalks or pathways in general.
Jet washing is a simple maintenance task to do but you might want to get a professional to do it for you, especially if the external walls require a more delicate touch or are perhaps in need of repair.
4. Provide outdoor seating
A great way to help encourage more people to visit your building or stay longer is to provide outdoor seating. This can be beneficial as it creates a sense of popularity for your building, even if the people sitting down are just tourists!
5. Add some pops of color
In general, it’s useful to try and add as much color to your exteriors as possible. The more eye-catching it is, the better and you’ll avoid blending in with the rest of the grey buildings as a result.
Remember as a business, curb appeal matters, so it’s good to spend some time on it where you can.
