Volvo has fully revealed the 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country, its off-road take on the brand’s lauded EX30 mini crossover EV.

The Volvo EX30 just recently hit US dealerships. It was delayed due to the production of US-destined cars being moved from China to the company’s factory in Gent Belgium in an effort to avoid new tariffs imposed on items manufactured in China. Now, with the arrival of the EX30 Cross Country, Volvo seems to be looking to expand the EX30’s appeal to the REI set with this new all-terrain-focused edition.
The 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country will have the same dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain as the standard EX30 AWD Performance model, producing 422 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It will also feature the same 64 kWh battery pack, which Volvo estimates will deliver around 264 miles of range on a full charge and have the ability to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes on an appropriately powerful DC fast charger.
Volvo has seen fit to give the 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country a more rugged persona than its standard counterpart. This means a 0.7-inch ride height increase, new front and rear skid plates, chunky wheel arch extensions, and unique 18″ wheels in a dark finish that can be ordered with all-terrain tires at an extra cost. The front also gets a dark finish that features a relief of the Kebnekaise mountain range in Arctic Sweden, while the rear gets the same dark finish applied to the panel between the taillights.

Inside, the 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country carries forward the same ultra-minimalist interior design as the standard EX30. This includes the same 12.3″ portrait-oriented central infotainment display featuring Google built-in. The full array of clever storage compartments also makes its way over from the standard EX30, as does Volvo’s numerous safety systems including active braking and steering support and a driver monitoring system intended to keep you focused on the task of driving. Photos released show an interior finished in a pine green color, which, though not unique to the CC, is a fitting color to compliment the EX30 Cross Country’s outdoorsy appeal.

Volvo is also launching something they’re calling the “Cross Country Experience,” which amounts to a set of benefits for EX30 CC owners, like discounts on offroad gear/accessories and more. Volvo said customers can expect a “dedicated, discounted ‘Cross Country Experience’ package of accessories for your car, which includes a load carrier, a roof basket, 18-inch all terrain tires and mudflaps.” Further information on this new program will be revealed at some point in the future.
Volvo has not yet released pricing for the 2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country, though we’d expect it to start at around $50k when it does go on sale in the US later this year.
