Kia America has officially pulled the covers off the all-new 2026 Kia EV4 compact electric sedan at the New York International Auto Show, marking a pivotal moment in the brand’s electrification journey. As Kia’s first global EV sedan, the EV4 represents a significant step in democratizing EV ownership with its blend of affordability, futuristic design, cutting-edge technology, and impressive electric range.
A Game-Changer in the Compact EV Segment
Designed to expand electric vehicle adoption among mainstream drivers, the 2026 Kia EV4 is built on the versatile 400V Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Already a proven foundation for models like the EV6 and EV9, the E-GMP platform empowers the EV4 with a refined balance of performance, efficiency, and practicality — ideal for both urban commuters and suburban families.
According to Steven Center, COO & EVP of Kia America, “The EV4 makes all-electric ownership accessible for those customers who are seeking a more practical and affordable option on the EV landscape while still desiring an advanced, technology-driven in-car experience.”
