GMC is raising the bar once again, this time in the midsize SUV segment, with the introduction of the first-ever 2026 Acadia Denali Ultimate. Known for blending rugged capability with upscale refinement, the Denali nameplate has long represented GMC’s top-tier offering. Now, the “Denali Ultimate” badge, previously reserved for the most premium trims on Sierra and Yukon, is coming to the Acadia — and it’s bringing a suite of exclusive features and design elements with it.
As GMC continues to evolve its lineup, the 2026 Acadia is the latest to benefit from this elevated treatment. According to Jaclyn McQuaid, Global Vice President of Buick and GMC, the move is all about bringing the brand’s highest expression of craftsmanship and innovation to a competitive space. In other words, the Acadia Denali Ultimate is designed to stand out where it matters most — in a crowded field of stylish, family-focused midsize SUVs.
From the outside, the Acadia Denali Ultimate commands attention with a signature Vader Chrome grille, bold 22-inch machined aluminum wheels finished in After Midnight Metallic, and refined LED daytime running lamps with an animated lighting sequence. Unique badging and subtle touches further separate it from the rest of the Acadia lineup, giving it an unmistakably upscale presence.
Step inside, and the luxury continues. The cabin is outfitted with heated and ventilated Woodland Mahogany full-leather seats that also offer massaging functions, a rare feature in this segment. Plaited contrast stitching and embossed topographical map patterns on the seat backs and interior trim add a custom feel, while real Paldao wood with laser-etched accents elevates the visual appeal. You’ll also find Denali Ultimate branding tastefully placed throughout the cabin, making sure you know you’re sitting in something special.
But the Denali Ultimate isn’t just about looks and comfort — it’s packed with cutting-edge technology. A 16-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system comes standard, as does GMC’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, complete with a three-year OnStar plan. Nine camera views, including HD Surround Vision and a Rear Camera Mirror, provide confidence behind the wheel, and a configurable 8-inch Head-Up Display keeps key information in clear sight. A panoramic sunroof, AutoSense power liftgate, and performance-tuned suspension round out a long list of standard equipment.
Under the hood, the 2026 Acadia features a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. With an available towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds, it balances luxury with real-world utility. Up to six selectable drive modes let you tailor performance to suit everything from daily commutes to weekend adventures.
The entire 2026 Acadia lineup also gets some love across the board, including a standard Rear Camera Mirror and a suite of over 19 safety and driver-assistance features, making it one of the most tech-forward entries in its class.
Production of the 2026 Acadia will take place at GM’s Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant, with dealership arrivals beginning in Q3 of 2025. The Denali Ultimate trim will follow shortly after. Pricing and more details will be shared on GMC.com closer to launch.
With its bold styling, premium materials, and comprehensive tech package, the Acadia Denali Ultimate is GMC’s most refined midsize SUV yet — and a strong statement that you don’t have to choose between luxury and capability.
