High-performance SUV joins Cadillac’s EV lineup.

The 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V will be the newest addition to the luxury automaker’s expanding electric vehicle lineup. This high-performance, five-passenger SUV sports an upgraded dual-motor electric powertrain, tweaked handling components, and the brand’s latest safety and connectivity tech.
“V” Look
Exterior design elements that distinguish the V from other Optiq models include gloss-black trim, “satin graphite” wheels, and distinct badging. Genuine carbon fiber accents are standard inside and optional for the exterior.
“V” Performance
Optiq-V has a pair of electric motors that provide power to all four wheels. Using the available Velocity Max option, total system output is an estimated 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac says this is good for a 0-60-mph acceleration time of just 3.5 seconds. Other performance upgrades include Brembo-brand front brakes, a continuously damping suspension and 21-inch wheels on wide, sticky tires.
“V” Specs and Range
Power is supplied to the electric motors via an 85 kWh battery pack using General Motors’ Ultium technology. Maximum driving range is estimated at 275 miles. DC fast charging is supported, enabling approximately 70 miles of range to be added in 10 minutes. Standard Level 2 household charging is rated at up to 11.5 kW, with an estimated range gain of 31 miles per hour while connected to such a power source.
“V” Tech Features
Among the standard driver-assistance features are blind-zone steering assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The latest iteration of GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system is included for three years. Connectivity is centered around a 33-inch LED display with built-in Google services. Unfortunately, neither Apple CarPlay nor Google Android Auto are available.
“V” Prices
The 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V starts at $67,300, not including manufacturer destination fee. Production is expected to begin in late 2025.
CG Says:
Optiq-V is a natural extension of Cadillac’s product portfolio. The projected driving range of 275 miles is a bit disappointing as is the lack of CarPlay or Android Auto. This is balanced by smart looks and performance numbers that could make it a compelling option for EV intenders who crave something equal parts sporty, luxurious, and practical.
