Recaro seats and greater safety tech have been added to the updated 2025 WRX line-up with minor price rises – and a darker paint option.
The updated 2025 Subaru WRX line-up is now in showrooms with more safety tech, infotainment and interior design upgrades on certain model grades.
Prices now start at $48,190 before on-road costs for the six-speed manual WRX sedan – or $50,690 for the continuously-variable automatic (CVT) – both up $700.
New on all models is an Emergency Driving Stop System that can bring the car to a stop if the driver is detected to be incapacitated, while the sedan gains a driver monitoring system to join the wagon.

A new Galaxy Purple Pearl is offered across the sedan line-up, replacing the previous Solar Orange Pearl.
The RS sedan and GT Sportswagon are unchanged for its $500 price rise, but it is the tS automatic grades that have received the most changes – and largest price rise, at $3500 across both sedan and wagon.
New red ‘WRX’ lettering is stitched into the dash of the tS CVT sedan – also included in the recently-added tS Spec B manual sedan – with the former now sharing the RS grade’s dark grey 18-inch alloy wheels, replacing silver and black machined items.

A 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster is now fitted to tS variants, as well as Recaro eight-way power-adjustable driver and four-way manual front passenger seats.
Sportswagon-specific changes include black interior headlining – previously white – to match that already offered in the sedan.
There are no mechanical changes to the 202kW/350Nm 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine used across the WRX line-up.
Sales of the WRX are steady with 415 sold in Australia up to the end of March 2025, only 15 less than the same period last year.
