Getting its official launch at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 are the 2025 Royal Enfield Bear 650 and Royal Enfield Classic 650, with pricing starting from RM34,500. There are four variants of the Bear 650 and three choices for the Classic 650.
For the Bear 650, there is the Petrol Green, Wild Honey and Golden Shadow at RM35,700, while the Bear 650 Two Four Nine with special paintwork retails at RM36,000. Meanwhile, the Classic 350 comes in Bruntingthorpe Blue and Vallam Red at RM34,500, and in Black Chrome at RM35,500.
Coming with a 2-to-1 exhaust system, the Bear 650 comes with Royal Enfield’s parallel-twin engine displacing 648 cc. Power is rated at 47 hp at 7,250 rpm with a maximum torque of 56.5 Nm at 5,150 rpm, going to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive.
Spoked wheel sizing for the Bear 650 is 19-inches in front and 17-inches in the rear, in keeping with its scrambler styling, wearing 100/90 and 140/80 rubber. Braking is with single hydraulic discs front and rear, with two-channel ABS that can be switched off for the rear wheel when riding off-road.
Weight is listed at 214 kg while 13.7-litres of fuel is carried in the tank. For the cockpit, a four-inch round TFT display features phone connectivity, full map navigation (powered by Google Maps) and media control.
Moving on the to Classic 650, the quintessential Royal Enfield design language is retained, bringing a 1948 style into modern times. The classic double loop frame is retained, along with the sculpted fuel tank, round headlamp, and curved fenders, harking back to the original Royal Enfield Classic.
