2025 Pebble Beach and Monterey Car Week New Vehicle Debuts

Posted on August 25, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on 2025 Pebble Beach and Monterey Car Week New Vehicle Debuts

The Cargasmic Annual Celebration of the Automobile

The 2025 Monterey Car Week—comprising the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, The Quail Motorsports Gathering and the Rolex Motorsports Reunion was a cargasmic celebration all things old and new in the automotive world.

Located on the picturesque Monterey Peninsula, this year’s August 14-17 event entertained and wowed attendees with several world debuts, but also classics, including a stunning 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C Nieuport-Astra Torpedo that took overall honors at the 2025 Pebble Beach Concours.

The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering at The Quail Lodge and Golf Club in Carmel, California, saw most of the concept car reveals. A few were made at private parties hosted by the manufacturers, usually at a villa or other suitably luxe location.

These cars were making their North American debuts as concepts. They may never be sold as-is, but some are near production-ready. This mash-up of dream and realistic cars is what makes Monterey Car Week so much fun. Here are few, alphabetically, to whet your automotive taste buds!

Acura RSX Prototype

Acura revealed the all-electric RSX Prototype. This sporty coupe, styled with a fastback roofline and sculpted sides, flush door handles and flared wheelwells, had 21-inch wheels and red brake calipers.

The dual-motor all-wheel drive RSX will have a sport-tuned double-wishbone front suspension that, combined with a low center-of-gravity and Brembo brakes (all standard), should make for a fun driving experience.

The RSX will be built on the same Marysville Auto Plant production line as the Acura Integra in Marysville, Ohio, starting in mid-2026.

BMW M850i Edition M Heritage

BMW M850i Edition M Heritage

For BMW aficionados, the 8-Series is legendary. To mark the occasion of the 8-Series ending its production run, BMW revealed the 2026 M850i Edition M Heritage. The 500-unit limited production run is a celebration and homage to 8-Series models from 1990-1999 including paint schemes from that era of Bright Red, Mauritius Blue metallic, Cosmos Black metallic, Oxford Green metallic and Daytona Violet metallic.

Inside, carbon fiber, Alcantara, leather with diamond shaped embroidery and M trim-color top stitching are only part of what make this very rare model so special.

The performance numbers are tantalizing with a 32-valve twin-turbo V8 putting out 523 hp and 553 lb.-ft. of torque through an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. It promises 3.9 scores for 0-60 mph and a top speed of 155 mph to seal the deal with 8-Series enthusiasts.

Production begins in November 2025 with a base MSRP of $131,575, including the $1,175 destination and handling fee. Reservations are being taken here.

Bugatti Brouillard
Fast car, but slow production

Bugatti Brouillard

The Bugatti Brouillard, named after founder Ettore Bugatti’s white and gray thoroughbred horse. As Bugatti managing direction Hendrik Malinowski said “an inspiring moment and an achievement to be celebrated.” Yeah, we get it and agree!

The 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, producing 1,578 horsepower, drives all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It scoots along 0-62 in 2.4 seconds with an electronically controlled top speed of 273 mph.

As part of the new Programme Solitaire, Bugatti will only build two each year.

Cadillac Elevated Velocity concept
A new world for Cadillac?

Cadillac Elevated Velocity EV Crossover Concept

Cadillac revealed the Opulent Velocity concept at The Quail in 2024. This year it showed something kind of surprising—the Elevated Velocity EV Concept. It 24-inch wheels and gull-wing doors start the conversation about Cadillac going desert racing. Since the company is fielding an F1 team in 2026 and already compete in endurance racing, maybe the Paris-Dakar becions.

No production plans were announced, but the possibilities of getting dirty and dusty in this luxury off-roader are tantalizing.

Ford Bronco roadster concept
A bare-bones Bronco

Ford Bronco Roadster Concept

Ford won the “Coolness” top prize when the Bronco Roadster Concept drove onto the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Awards Stage on the 18th fairway in front of The Lodge.

First introduced in 1965, the Bronco is legendary in automotive history. Ford originally challenged the Bronco design team to make an off-road Mustang, which debuted with great success year earlier. Sixty years later Ford is at it again. The Bronco Roadster is a only a concept, according to Ford, but curiously everything we saw was fully functional.

Will the Bronco Roadster go into production? Chances are slim since owning a truck/SUV or any type vehicle without a top or windows would not appeal to too many people. But, that ‘cool factor’ is still hanging out there!

Jaguar Type 00 EV

Jaguar made an earthshaking radical decision to save the 90-year old prestigious luxury brand. In July 2024, executives announced they were stopping production of internal combustion engine vehicles and would now be concentrating on EVs. The first of which, shown at Monterey Car Week, is the Type 00, taking its name from Zero Emissions and Zero, as-in starting from nothing. Wow, did they come-up with something interesting!

The Type 00 has a 15-foot-long all-aluminum body powered by 1,000+ hp electric motors. It wasn’t revealed how many wheels would be pushing it along, but we expect to see all-wheel drive. Charging is by an 800V system using the North American Charging System (NACS) Supercharger network. The platform was designed from the ground-up to be an EV and is dedicated to electricity. Other platforms at the sister division Land Rover can accommodate different propulsion systems.

The “design intent” shown at the Open Studio and The Quail was a coupe, but the production model will be a four-door sedan. The dominant styling feature is the overall size, incorporating an elongated bonnet, low roofline and stance with a boat tail rearend bringing the design all together. The interior is clean, simple and wonderfully futuristic.

Brandon Baldassari, Jaguar USA brand director, told Clean Fleet Report this is the “design intent that every future Jaguar will have—a really bold, strong front end and the strike-through lines on the rear. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has a history of the production car being a near match to the concept, which is the reaction we are expecting when the Type 00 is released.”

“Internally we are using the term ‘imagination’ as we are completely pressing the reset button for a 90-year old British luxury brand. We started with a complete clean-sheet approach,” Baldassari added. “Our creative director, Gerry McGovern, gave the creative team a very short brief that included the directive—they were not constrained by anything we have done in our past. He encouraged the team to ‘free themselves to design Jaguar for the future even though we are a brand with a ton of heritage’.”

Production and customer deliver dates, as well as the price, were not announced.

Karma lineup at Pebble Beach
2 new models coming

Karma Amaris and Karma Gyesera

The Karma Amaris and Gyesera coupes are both extend range electric vehicles (EREV), a variation on hybrid technology that uses the internal combustion engine primarily to charge the battery. Using high-end materials and offering modern technology, each model will offer something different to Karma customers.

The Amaris has 100+ miles of all-electric range (AER), with its gasoline engine extending travel to more than 400 miles. Its 0-60 mph time is about 3.4 seconds and it has a governed top speed of 165 mph, which should please driver-focused owners. Production begins in Q4 2026 with a starting price of $200,000.

The Gyesera Grand Touring coupe scoots to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds with 566 hp and 546 lb.-ft. of torque. Production begins in Q4 2025 with a starting price of $165,000.

Lamborghini Fenomeno
Designed to fly

Lamborghini Fenomeno

Do stats like the Lamborghini Fenomeno being the most powerful and fastest V-12 to come from the Italian luxury brand whet your interest? How about the 6.5-liter V-12, with three electric motors (two on the front axle and one at the gearbox) producing a prodigious 1,065 hp and a pin-you-back-in-your-seat 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds?

Production tops-out at 29 total units at a minimum of $3.5 million each.

Lexus Sport Concept

The Lexus Sport Concept was our pick of the show at The Quail. This wide and low next-generation sports car from Toyota’s premium division was a head-turner.

Production plans and pricing were not announced.

Maserati MCPura Coupe and Cielo Cabriolet

The Trident brand introduced the evolution of the MC20, the MCPura in a coupe and convertible. With a new exterior design, new lightweight materials and more luxury interior finishes, the MCPura siblings are both powered by 621-hp, twin-turbo 3.0-liter direct-injected V6 gasoline engine. This is the first Maserati engine developed in-house without input from long-time engine supplier Ferrari.

Maserati proudly says the “MCPura is 100% made in Modena, Italy, from development to production, all the way to the paint work.” Production begins in September with deliveries to showrooms in December. Starting prices are $246,000 for the MCPura Coupe and $281,000 for the MCPura Cielo cabriolet.

McLaren

McLaren hosted the media at Chateau McLaren, an opulent home tucked nicely into the hills of Carmel Valley. There the company had an array of vehicles representing its current road cars, racing heritage and a look for the first time at an endurance race car. They also had memorabilia of racing successes, including the 2024 F1 Constructors’ Championship trophy and race-worn driving suits from F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

McLaren WEC Hypercar
McLaren prepares for the long run

The first-look reveal of the McLaren Racing Endurance Team WEC Hypercar was a treat. No specifications were given other than it features a twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The McLaren Hypercar will begin competing in the 2027 World Endurance Championship that includes the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 1992 F1 road car (chassis #001) was on display at the Chateau. Only 106 were built and 64 are known to exist. This is a true collector car with the single-center driver seat always grabbing attention.

The beautiful W1 Supercar enters production in Woking, Surry, England, in 2026 for 2027 deliveries. With a  total production run of 399, this twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 hybrid (with an electric motor) produces 1,258 hp and 988 lb.-ft. of torque and is good for 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds. If top speed is your thing, expect somewhere close to 220 mph. The W1 incorporates ground effect aerodynamics, influenced by the McLaren F1 race team, with an adjustable front splitter and rear wing.

The P1 on display, successor to the F1, was one of the first high-performance sports cars to be introduced incorporating hybrid technology.

The 75S Le Mans will only have 50 units built for customers worldwide. Product manager Nolan Gray told Clean Fleet Report “racing is embedded in McLaren’s DNA,” which shows as the 75S Le Mans takes styling and performance queues from the aforementioned McLaren WEC Hypercar.

A production start date was not announced, but if you are interested in owning an instant classic collectable go here for more information.

Wrapping Up Another Great Monterey Car Week

The auto manufacturers should all take a collective bow and a victory lap. The assortment of concepts and near production ready cars was the best it has been in years, so many that we couldn’t catch them all. Of course, don’t forget about the classics residing on the fairways of the Pebble Beach golf course and the auctions.

Hagerty calculated the total earnings by all auctions as $432.8 million, which was the second highest on record.

These are the Top 12 sales from Bonhams, Broad Arrow, Gooding & Company and RM Sotheby’s auctions.
