LDV has added autonomous emergency braking to its G10 van to keep it on sale in Australia as a budget alternative to its newer Deliver 7, along with lane-departure warning.

- Autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning added
- Two-seat cargo van also gains larger touchscreen, Android Auto
- Priced from $38,937 drive-away
Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) technology – a feature now mandatory in all new cars sold in Australia – has been added to the 2025 LDV G10 to keep the 10-year-old van on sale.
According to industry database Redbook – which uses information supplied by manufacturers – the LDV G10+ will return to the G10 designation, and will draw power exclusively from a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, with the previous petrol version to be dropped.
LDV Australia has been contacted for comment on the listings.
It will gain AEB with vehicle and pedestrian detection, along with a lane-departure warning system, for the first time since it launched in Australia in 2015, following the ADR 98/00 mandate for ‘car-to-car’ AEB in force from this month for vehicles of the G10’s type.

Government approval documents show the Model Year 2025 (MY25) G10 also meets the further ADR 98/01 requirement for AEB capable of detecting pedestrians, which will be enforced for new cars of the G10’s type from August 1, 2026.
There is no current requirement for lane-departure warning systems, but in most cars, this technology uses the same road-facing windscreen camera as AEB systems.
While it was expected the Toyota HiAce-sized G10 van would be replaced by the newer LDV Deliver 7 in Australia – which launched in 2023 with electric power, joined by diesel a year later – it will instead live on as a cut-price offering, with the manual variant remaining available for under $40,000 drive-away.

Prices for the updated LDV G10 have increased $1579 over an equivalent Model Year 2024 G10+ van, with the manual listed at $38,937 drive-away and the automatic at $41,042 – compared to $44,726 for the most-affordable, short-wheelbase Deliver 7 diesel automatic.
Specifications listed alongside the Redbook prices also reveal the G10 has received a larger infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto support – joining Apple CarPlay – and DAB+ digital radio, along with a new Metal Ash grey colour.
It follows the addition of a revised front bumper design borrowed from the defunct G10 Wagon people mover – which was replaced by the LDV Mifa in 2022 – for Model Year 2024 (MY24) versions of the G10 van.
The LDV G10 retains its 118kW/375Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission, with rear-wheel drive.
Combined fuel consumption for the diesel G10 automatic is now rated at 7.9L/100km – down from 8.2L/100km – while the manual remains unchanged at 8.2L/100km.
While other petrol and diesel-engined LDV vehicles such as the Mifa, MY25-on D90, MY23-on T60 Max, Deliver 7, and MY24-on Deliver 9 have moved to a seven-year/200,000-kilometre warranty, the G10 van appears to retain the brand’s older three-year/100,000-kilometre coverage.
