With the 2025 ZR1 Configurator now online, each of us CorvetteBloggers will be sharing our dream builds. Our fifth build entry was imagined by Keith Cornett, whose ZR1 build takes on the look of a Stormtrooper with its White and Black motif. The poll for the best Blogger Build will come on Tuesday. Enjoy!
When it comes to building the mighty new 2025 Corvette ZR1, there are a couple of directions I could take. I know that many think these should be loaded up with as many options as possible, but I also wanted to build a car that was both stylish and practical, if you can describe a near-$200K sports car as practical.
One of our go-to sayings about the Corvette is that its a canvas waiting for its owner to paint his or her masterpiece. That’s exactly how I felt as I opened up the 2025 Corvette ZR1 configurator last week after it went live. I knew for this round of Blogger Builds that I would definitely go with the Coupe for its split-window design, and I also wanted the big wing, despite how impractical it is for daily driving and grocery-getting.

While I went with Hysteria Purple on my own ’25 E-Ray, I wanted to do this car in one of the traditional top colors in the Corvette line-up, and knew that Arctic White goes great against all that visible carbon fiber which is standard on the ZR1. I also added the $995 option to have the visible carbon fiber “spine” painted body color as well to really accent the “split rear window” design. The fact that Chevy’s designers also made it functional with vents is another great feature on this car and having it painted body color just puts the spotlight on that even more.
As this is a fantasy build, I was able to add the T0M Carbon Fiber Aero Package for the $8,495 which gives me the big wing and the front dive planes, but I am skipping on the ZTK Performance Package option as this will be road-rocket and not a track car. I wanted the suspension set up as soft as possible for the streets. The only other visible carbon fiber option on the exterior was the $1,295 for the Outside Mirrors.

The wheels was such a hard choice as I do love those new Blue forged aluminum wheels, but I felt they just didn’t quite work with the rest of my design, so I optioned it with the $1,995 Bright Machined wheels instead. The Visible Carbon Fiber wheels were also an option, but I just prefer wheels that are a lighter color and the $13,995 is something that would be worth ordering if money isn’t a factor. I also added the Blue ZR1 calipers as they are exclusive to the model while also offering me the ability to match the color on the interior as well.
My final two exterior options were the standard Black emblems and the Polished Exhaust tips, and I decided to keep both of those as is. The dark emblems look great against the Arctic White paint (especially the CORVETTE letters on the rear), and the Polished exhaust tips adds some color to the normally dark rear fascia. I also thought about adding one of the dual racing stripes, but I just didn’t think the visible carbon fiber weave on the roof deserved to be covered up by a sticker.

For the 3LZ interior, I went with the Jet Black leather seats with Blue Stitching and also added the Tension Blue Seat Belts which are visible from the outside and they help to tie in the color from the brake calipers. While its expensive, I did the $4,995 Level II Visible Carbon Fiber interior package and the $595 Stealth Interior Trim which effectively “blacked-out” the interior. Another option added for the interior are the Visible Carbon Fiber Sill Plates for $1,995. Finally, a $295 personalized interior saying “KEEP WAVING!!” is also on my build.
As for the general options, the $2,595 Front Lift is a must have on any Corvette and especially one that has a large visible carbon fiber front splitter. The Battery Protection Package is also a requirement for any Corvette owner (dumb me got all excited about everything else and I forgot to check this box on my E-Ray, and the aftermarket price for the battery charger/maintainer is nearly twice as expensive.) My last option ordered is the R8C delivery as having such a fantastic and beautiful Corvette as the ZR1 delivered at the National Corvette Museum would be the experience of a lifetime.
My full ZR1 Coupe build price adds up to $211,290 without tax, title, registration, and the gas guzzler fee.
