Cadillac Lyriq electric SUVs sold in Australia by the end of September will receive “zero” luxury car tax and on-road costs, slashing thousands from the drive-away price.
Drive-away pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq luxury electric SUV has been slashed by thousands in Australia with a special offer.
Until September 30, 2025 “while stocks last”, unless extended, Cadillac Australia will discount the Lyriq to the value of its Luxury Car Tax (LCT) and on-road costs, such as stamp duty, dealer delivery, registration fees, and compulsory third-party insurance, at full price.
According to Cadillac, the total savings start from $13,100 for Lyriq models sold in Victoria, and $13,800 in New South Wales.
LCT is factored into the $122,000 recommended retail price (RRP) for the Lyriq Luxury and $124,000 for the Lyriq Sport, meaning the drive-away offers are less than its usual RRP before on-road costs, at around $115,000 drive-away for the Luxury and $116,500 for the Sport.

Customers will still be required to pay Luxury Car Tax and on-road costs on their new Lyriq, however, the discounts represent the value of these charges at the Lyriq’s circa-$120,000 RRP.
The vehicles must be ordered between August 7, 2025, and September 30, 2025, and delivered by November 30, 2025, unless delayed outside of the customer’s control, to be eligible for the discount.
Cadillac Australia is also offering a 1.99 per cent per annum comparison rate across the Lyriq range for finance customers, for terms up to 48 months with a minimum deposit of 20 per cent of the drive-away price, equating to around $23,000.
The drive-away deal makes the Lyriq the most affordable all-wheel-drive model in the luxury large electric SUV sector, and second only to the entry-level, rear-wheel-drive Audi Q6 e-tron ($99,900 before on-road costs, or around $110,000 drive-away).

The price cuts of up to $14,000 follow a $5000 price rise for the Lyriq, which applied from April 2025 along with other General Motors (GM) vehicles in Australia, including the Chevrolet Corvette and GMC Yukon.
While Cadillac does not reveal its sales figures in Australia, the first customer deliveries of the 2025 Lyriq commenced earlier this year, and it currently only has one permanent showroom in Sydney’s inner south.
An updated Model Year 2026 (MY26) Cadillac Lyriq will launch “from late 2025” with built-in telematics – including embedded satellite navigation currently absent from the SUV – though a no-cost upgrade will become available for MY25 vehicles at a Cadillac service centre.
The Cadillac line-up will expand in Australia in 2026 with the addition of the Optiq, Vistiq and Lyriq-V electric SUVs.
