10 things to love about the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) – Available now!

Posted on July 30, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on 10 things to love about the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) – Available now!

1. It’s faster to install, so you can get in and out in no time.

With Pro setup in the Google Home app, your technicians can set up and configure everything in their own account, no Wi-Fi required. Best of all? They don’t ever have to touch a customer’s phone.

2. It’s compatible with complex systems.

It’s ASHRAE 62.2 compliant, and it’s compatible with up to 3 stages of heat and 2 cool for conventional systems, or up to 4H 2C for heat pumps and hybrid heat.1 And with more customizable controls, technicians can now choose between intelligent and advanced settings to ensure that the thermostat is optimized for a home’s equipment.

3. Cuts down on callbacks.

With Smart Schedule, the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) offers the seamless experience customers love, with improved scheduling features to help reduce callbacks. It still learns the temperatures they like and when they like them, but now customers have the option to see and accept schedule tweaks before they happen. So they understand how their thermostat works, and they stay in control of their home’s comfort.2

4. It’s Google’s smartest thermostat yet.

The new Nest Learning Thermostat comes with features like Adaptive Eco, which finds an energy-saving temperature that helps customers save when they’re away and come back to a comfortable home.1 Smart ventilation also saves energy by bringing in outdoor air when air quality is healthy and it’s most efficient.2,3

5. It saves time on the job.

With the new automated Pro ID, your technician only has to enter your Pro ID once, and it will automatically prepopulate on their device on future installs of the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen). This not only speeds up the installation process, it also keeps you from missing out on valuable Nest Pro benefits like Nest Pro Rewards and HVAC System Health Monitor.4,8

6. It keeps you connected to customers for the life of the system.

HVAC System Health Monitor (previously HVAC monitoring), has a new name, but it’s still the same great feature that’s popular with both customers and pros. It looks out for issues and sends an alert if something might be wrong.5 If your technicians enter your Nest Pro ID at installation, customers will get an HVAC system alert with your company’s contact info. So it’s easy for them to get in touch when they need you most.4

7. A Nest Temperature Sensor comes in the box.

Do you hear customers complaining about hot and cold spots in their homes? The new thermostat comes with a Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen) to help with that. Customers can purchase additional sensors if they need them (up to six per thermostat) and average temperatures across them.4 And they can prioritize different rooms at different times, like an office during the day and a bedroom at night.6

8. Need support? We’ve got you.

If your technician needs help during installation, they can call the Pro Support line or scan the QR code on the Pro SKU packaging for more detailed instructions.

9. Gives your customers more peace of mind.

Unlock a 5-year extended warranty on the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) when your technicians enter your Nest Pro ID during installation.

10. Who says thermostats are dull?

This one isn’t. Sleek and sophisticated, the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) comes in elegant finishes and features a stunning, 60% larger borderless display with Dynamic Farsight.2,7 It looks great on any wall.

Find the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) at your local stocking distributor.
